Every year on October 11, the world marks International Day of the Girl—a global moment to celebrate girls everywhere, amplifying their voices, their actions, and their leadership. It's a day to look at where progress has been made, and to be honest about how far there still is to go.
For us, this day is personal. It's about the girls we work alongside in rural Tanzania and rural Pakistan—two very different places, bound by one shared belief:
Every girl deserves the freedom to learn, to grow, to make her own choices, and to define her own future.
Two Countries. Two Stories.
TANZANIA 🇹🇿 Tausi is in her final year of her Diploma Program in Procurement and Logistics Management at the Institute of Accountancy. She plans to apply the knowledge and skills she is learning to support economic empowerment initiatives for women. Read the full story here → Tausi’s Journey in Logistics and Leadership

PAKISTAN 🇵🇰 As fuel prices continue to rise all over the world, students in rural Pakistan are struggling with the increased cost of transportation to school—sometimes up to double the price. Your support of Girls Education International means their transportation is paid for, and they can focus on their studies.
Two Countries. One Cause.
Whether it's a girl in Tanzania excited to make a real difference in her community, or a girl in Pakistan who doesn’t need to worry about the rising cost of transportation, the cause is the same → A girl's potential shouldn't be limited by geography, tradition, or circumstance.
This International Day of the Girl, we're asking you to help us raise awareness. Share our mission. Share the stories. Your support helps girls turn their educational dreams into reality.
